AgriBot
Hackathon project
Kreyòl-language app that spots crop diseases from a photo of a leaf, fully offline. Winner of the 2025 Ayiti AI Hackathon.
About AgriBot
AgriBot is building a pocket diagnostic tool for Haitian farmers: take a photo of a leaf and the app tells you whether the plant is sick and what to do about it, with every menu and treatment tip written in Kreyòl. The AI model runs directly on the phone, so it works without a data connection, and is meant to catch diseases early enough to save the harvest in a country where farmers lose an estimated 20–40% of their crops each year. For now the model covers maize only; the team says it aims to extend it to crops such as tomatoes and peppers. The project, built by Team Crusaders, took first place at the first Ayiti AI Hackathon in 2025. It is still an early beta, distributed as an Android APK and a web demo from its website.
